Brian Leslie West, 47, of Dickinson, Texas went to be with his Lord Friday, March 25, 2011 at Mainland Medical Hospital in Texas City. Brian was born on June 11, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Douglas McCllenen and Imogene Waggerman West.

Brian became a member of the First United Methodist Church at a young age. He loved his family and friends. He was fond of fishing with his dad and brother at Matagorda. He loved watching NFL games. His favorite team was the St. Louis Rams. He was a fan of the LSU Tigers as he attended college in Baton Rouge, LA.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife: Kari Ann Levenson West; stepfather and mother: Joe Ray and Imogene Waggerman Beard; brother: Scott Alan West; sister: Sandra Gayle West; 2 stepsisters: Barbie Beard & Tom Dearman & Family and Beth Beard Yablon & Family; aunt: Raeciel Neely; 3 cousins: Mike & Cheryl Neely, Sally & Curtis Tate, and Jeff & Carolyn Koym; father-in-law: Steve Levenson; mother-in-law: Rosanne Levenson; 2 sister-in-law: Sarah & Craig Beasley & Family and Tamra & Vinnie Thein & Liza; and brother-in-law: Reed & Laura Levenson & Family.

Brian was preceded in death by his father: Douglas McCllenen West, grandparents: Raymond Leslie & Luceill Nelson Waggerman, grandmother: Ella Francis Davis, aunt: Arlene Waggerman Koym, and uncle: Hank Koym.

A Service to Celebrate Brian's Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. June White officiating. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Palacios, 209 Lucas Ave., Palacios, TX 77465 or charity of choice.
