Braulio R. Muniz, 83, of Bay City passed away June 15, 2012. He was born March 26, 1929 in Cuero, TX to the late Benito Muniz and Maria Gregoria Rodriguez Muniz. He was a service man for CP&L for 35 years. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include wife Daria Muniz of Bay City; daughters Amanda Carlin of Bay City, Eva Derry & husband T. J. of Round Rock & Melissa Rico-Weaver & husband Jeff of Galveston; sons John Robert Muniz & wife Maria of Houston & Braulio Muniz & wife Kelly of Pearland; sisters Feliz Merino of Huntsville, Dolia Lopez of Cleveland, TX and Janie Sardelich of Bay City; brothers Robert Muniz of Houston and Benito Muniz of Weslaco; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, his sister Cristina Garcia preceded him in death.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Samuel Muniz, Braulio Muniz, Rico Carlin, Matt Carlin, Michael Rico and Christopher Gonzalez.

Those desiring may make memorials to Our Lady of Guadalupe Scholarship Fund or to Holy Cross Catholic School.
