Brandon James Miladin, 28 of Van Vleck passed away January 8th, 2026. Brandon was a loved son, brother, uncle, friend, and husband. He was an avid weightlifter, journeyman millwright and video gamer. He played high school football, competed in powerlifting, and Jiu-Jitsu.
Brandon was born in Galveston Tx, on June 24, 1997. He lived in Van Vleck for most of his life with his parents and older brother. He spent his earliest years chasing his brother and his friends, playing sports, gaming with his dad, and spending quality time with his mom.
At a young age his love for fitness, fast cars, and making money was obvious. After graduating high school, Brandon worked his way up in the service industry, working locally within the community at Baytown Seafood, Whataburger, and HEB. Due to his serving nature, he went on to become a certified EMT at Lake Jackon EMS, fulfilling his desire to help others. He also took great pride in his efforts to help others during hurricane Harvey.
Looking for a more lucrative career, he decided to join the Local Union 2232 and become a millwright. After working as an apprentice for 4 years, he went to trade school to advance his career and obtain his journeyman certification. With these skills he was able to attain a Senior Field Technician position at Arch Rock Natural Gas Compression Services. He utilized this position to open countless doors for many friends, providing them job opportunities to improve their own quality of life.
He was the most genuine human being and the kind of friend everyone deserves. What free time Brandon had was spent working on cars with his loved ones, gaming in all forms-including chess, and hunting & fishing with his brother and other family members. As a DIY enthusiast, he pursued many projects with his loved ones and encouraged his friends to do the same. He was a deep thinker and loved history, philosophy, geography and anthropology.
Most recently, he discovered a love for travel and seeing new places with his wife. Some of his favorite things included Trans-Am cars, chicken and dumplings, music, and the beach. Though he was terrible at it, Brandon loved to dance. Making others laugh was his specialty, often utilizing bad jokes, his unique sense of style, and his own goofy laugh to do so! He loved his family and friends with a ferocity that could not be matched.
Brandon was preceded in death by his Grandpa Charles, Uncle Pete, and Uncle Ryan. He is survived by his parents James and Cindy, Brother Phillip Miladin (Makayla), Wife Tyler Miladin and their fur-children Smudge and Dobby, Brother David (Katy), Uncle Randy Szydlo (Tearie), cousins Kyle, Kayla, and Kody. Grandfather Aubree Huval (Ottila), Fathers-in-law Arnold Ybarra (Amanda) and Keifer McCain (Stephnee). Countless brothers and Sisters in-law, Nephews: Malakai, Ryatt, and Ronin Miladin. Friends: Tyler, Peng, Kyle, Chris, and Devin as well as many other loved ones connected to him.
