Bobby Gene Brown, Sr., 81, died July 10, 2006 at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton. He was born March 16, 1925 in Richland, Texas to William Ulman and Jessie W. McCreary Brown. He was a member of the Baptist Church, a veteran of WWII, and was retired from Phillips Petroleum.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret Brown, and son Grady William Brown. Survivors include daughters Sandra Hudzietz of Lake Jackson and Terri Meadows of Crockett; son Bobby G. Brown, Jr. of Louisiana; grandchildren Connie Marshall & husband Wallace, Monica Gillespey & husband Brian, Cheryl Rumsey & husband Danny, Micah Goss & husband Johnny, Maegan Hudzietz, Danielle Pennington & husband Jason; great grandchildren, Ryan Marshall & wife Janae, Nathanael Marshall, Zachary Marshall, Caleb Marshall, Derek Rumsey, Kimberlyn Rumsey, Cody Gillespey & Dillon Gillespey; great great grandchildren Quincy Marshall & Isabella Goss. The family would like to thank Cypress Woods Care Center and their staff for the loving care given to Mr. Brown.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Brian Gillespey, Johnny Goss, Jason Pennington, Nathanael Marshall, Zachary Marshall, Wally Marshall, Danny Rumsey and Mike Stone.
