Obituary
Blanca Garza Pina, 72, of Bay City, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 in Houston, TX. She was born December 28, 1936 in Edinburg, TX to Juan Garza and Felipa Munoz Garza. She was a resident of Bay City for the past 46 years and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Bay City.
She is survived by her husband: Adan Ortega Pina of Bay City; her daughter: Shirley Miller & husband James of Wimberly; her son: Adam Pina & wife Dawnah of Bay City; by her sisters: Carmen Gamboa of South Houston, Alvesa Mata of Fresno, CA, Amparo Garcia of San Isidro; by brothers: Sejia Garza of Richmond, Llenol Garza and Juna Garza, both of San Isidro; and by 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Marina Longoria, and by a son: Joab Pina.
The Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 25, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church of Bay City with Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City, TX.
