Billie Mayfield McKissick, 90, of Bay City passed away August 25, 2013. He was born September 15, 1922 in Ashby, Texas to the late James Luther McKissick, Sr. and Kate Dunbar McKissick. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. after 35 years as a purchasing agent.

His wife, Merle "Linda" McKissick preceded him in death. Survivors include daughters & their husbands Jerallyn & E. J. Thormaehlen and Janice & Dean Hurst; sister Barbara Sullivan; sister-in-law Thelma McKissick; grandchildren Mark (Diana) Hurst, Trey Thormaehlen, Sarah (D. Maneesh, D.O.) Kumar, Lawrence (Sammatha) Thormaehlen, Scott Thormaehlen, Annie (Ben) Howington, and Erik (Allison) Thormaehlen; 4 great grandsons and 6 great granddaughters; special nieces and nephews Ann & Louis Saha and Elizabeth & Bill Johnson; special friends Liz Gentry, Barbara Middleton, Sean Middleton, Johnna Mitchell, Benny Mills, Suzanne Calk, Sherri Loring & Sandra Burgyan and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm until 8pm Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Mark Hurst, Trey Thormaehlen, Lawrence Thormaehlen, Scott Thormaehlen, Erik Thormaehlen and D. Maneesh Kumar, D.O.
