Billie Doris Gilmore, a Bay City resident since 1961, went to meet her savior December 2, 2007. She was born October 7, 1927 to Myrtice Powell & Samuel Leatherwood in Dallas, Texas where she lived until she married.

Billie worked in the banking industry for approximately 30 years. She concluded her banking career at Bay City Bank and Trust in Bay City, Texas.

Some of Billie's hobbies included bowling, sewing, quilting and playing Bingo. She loved to read and work challenging crossword and sudoku puzzles.

Her parents, her children's father, William E. Howard, and her loving husband, Wilburn Lunn Gilmore preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sherry Stasney of Bay City; son Ray Howard & wife Julie of Sugar Land; daughter Lynda Bosak & husband Morris of Sugar Land and son Mark Howard & wife Sylvia of Bay City. She will also be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5pm-7pm Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Drew Wilson, Wade Wilson, Ricky Dunegan, Dane Howard, Carson Howard and grandson-in-law Jonathan Chance.
