Beverly Lynn Bender, 59, of Van Vleck passed away February 8, 2016. She was born October 13, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Bill and Jean Lundquist Mills.

Beverly was a friend to all people and animals that she met. She was known by all for her kind, gentle spirit. Beverly was an active member of Van Vleck First Baptist Church and the Texas A&M Mother's Club. Her passion in life were her pets, family, friends and her true love, grandson Harrison Wayne Bender.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Bender; mother-in-law and best friend, Martha Sherrill of Van Vleck, Texas; son Dr. Vernon Robert Bender (Kay Bow) of Rockdale, Texas; brothers Gaylon Mills of El Campo, Texas and Johnny Mills of Splendora, Texas and grandson Harrison Wayne Bender of Rockdale, Texas.

The family will receive visitors 5-7pm Thursday, February 11 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Friday, February 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Van Vleck with Rev. Bob Hobbins officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas. Pallbearers are Blake Bolton, Coby Bolton, Charles Wright, Wayne Massey, George Krejci and Joe Ledwig. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie O'Connell, Joe Ochoa, Gaylon Mills and Johnny Mills.
