Betty Zane Warn, 93, of Bay City, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.

Betty was born on March 27, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Frank Krenek and Myrtle Allison Krenek. She dedicated 35 years of her life to serving as a postmaster, a career she carried out with commitment and pride.

Outside of her work, Betty found joy in gardening and painting. She was also well known for her wonderful baking, especially her beloved apple cake and Italian cream cake. These cherished recipes brought the family together and will be deeply missed. Betty was truly the heart and roots of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Dale and Tracy Warn; her grandchildren, Lisa and Julie Warn. Betty is survived by her children, Dennis Warn, Patricia Warn and Timothy Warn; brother, Frank Krenek; grandchildren; Kendahl and Ryan Warn, Eric and Matthew Schmidt, and Melissa Warn Inman; and her great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Kyntlee Lively, Emily and Bennett Schmidt.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas, with Lee Watson officiating.

Betty will be remembered with endless love, deep gratitude and cherished memories.

She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
