Betty Jane Vega Rico-Greer, 70, of Bay City, TX passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her home. She was born August 3, 1944 in Bay City to Jesse and Ignacia Escamilla Vega.

Betty is preceded in death by both parents and son Magdaleno Rico III. She is survived by her husband Will Greer; daughters Delores Dalvand of Austin, TX, Eva Carhart and husband Michael of Bay City, Driana Rodriguez and husband Daniel of Bay City and Lisa Tome and husband Michael of Pensacola, FL; sons Orlando Rico and wife Sonja of Wharton, TX and Owen Greer of Sparks, NV; sisters Alice Reyna and Catherine Hernandez of Bay City, Hope Cisneros and husband Fedencio of Dickinson, TX and Anna Garcia and husband Jesse of Angleton, TX; brother Jesse Vega, Jr.; grandchildren Sharzad Dalvand-Torres, Cayla Carhart, Danielle Rodriguez, Pamela LeFan, Melissa Rodriguez, Trey Rodriguez, Leslie Rodriguez, Elyssa Bryant, Michael Rico, Cameron Rico, Angelica Rico, Amanda Rico, Alex Rico, Shayla McGhee, Kaitlyn McGhee, Steven McGhee, Jaxon Greer, Emilee Greer, Abby Greer, Cole Greer and McKenna Greer, and 11 great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be at 5:00pm Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be at 10:00am Monday, May 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, TX. Pallbearers are David Cisneros, Trey Rodriguez, Rudy Luna, Ivan Greer, Mike Carhart, Michael Thome, Michael Rico and Evan Garza. Honorary pallbearers are William Smith, Gary Graham, Alexander Rico and Julian Torres. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Building Fund.
