Betty Jean Denn Cartwright, devoted wife, mother, grandmother,
and great-grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday,
July 31, 2010, in her home in Clear Lake, Texas. Betty was born
February 18, 1930 to Mathias Denn and Galdys Collamore Denn in
Bay City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandson
Nathaniel B Cartwright; her parents, Matt and Gladys Denn; her
sister, Maxine Denn Farrar, and brother, Billy William John Denn.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine and one half years,
Robbie James Cartwright, and her sons: Robert and his wife Cathy,
Lew and his wife Linda, and Larry Cartwright; and grandchildren:
Ryan, Ray, Matthew, Lissa, and Jason and his wife Lindsay
Cartwright; Rachel and her husband Bruce LaBauve; Kristan and
her husband Greg Hart; Jennifer and her husband Joe Moreland;
and Joshua Jackson, as well as, nine great grandchildren.
The main emphases in her life were her husband, her children, and
her church. She and Robbie were founding members of Bay Area
Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Webster, Texas where Betty served
for eleven years, from 1988 to 1997, as volunteer Church Administrator
to the founding Pastor, Dr. James Bland.
Pall bearers will be Jack Amuny, Lynn Hershey, Grant Jensen,
Raleigh Johnson, Ben Lockett, and Pete Scott. Honorary pall
bearers will be: Ryan, Ray, Matt, and Jason Cartwright; Greg Hart,
Bruce LaBauve, Joshua Jackson, and Joe Moreland. Services will he
held at Bay Area Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, August 4, 2010,
at 10:30 a.m. The interment at 4:00 p.m. will follow at Roselawn
Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas.
