Bertha Rodriguez, 81, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006 at her home in Bay City. She was born November 8, 1924 to the late Lorenzo & San Juana Rodriguez in Cuero. Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children: Bertha & Abelardo Morales of Freer; Ralph Rodriguez of Bay City; Arthur, Jr. & Delia Rodriguez of Bay City; Carmen & Bryan Chancy of Houston; Bobby & Sue Rodriguez of Bay City; Janie & Sergio San Miguel of Bay City; Rudy & Chriselda Garza of Bay City; Becky Rodriguez of Bay City; Rachel & Santos Martinez of Corpus Christi; Jessica & Jessie Oros of Bay City; and Jennifer & David Villa of Bay City; 34 grandchildren; 80 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband: Santos Garza and son: Ruben Rodriguez.

A Rosary will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 12, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Rodriguez's grandsons: Rudy Garza, Sergio San Miguel, Jr., Randy Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Steven San Miguel, and Robert Rodriguez.
