Bertha Reyes Mireles, 76, of Clute passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015. She was born in Bay City, Texas September 26, 1938 to Evaristo and Teresa Samaniego Reyes.

Bertha enjoyed all genres of music, including country, gospel, blues and jazz. But she loved Tejano music! Music was in her heart and soul really. She enjoyed baseball games, from the New York Yankees, to the Newport Kings, to the Newgulf A's. Bertha enjoyed cooking for her kids and her grandkids. She loved and adored her family.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; son Adrian Rene Mireles; sister Mary Mendoza (Amparo); brothers Evaristo Reyes, Jr., Andres Reyes, Sr., Joe Reyes, Sr. She is survived by her husband Joe L. Mireles; brother Armando Reyes and his wife Rosie; daughters Vangie Mireles of Clear Lake, TX, Linda Seals of Bay City, Norma Hernandez and husband Anthony of San Antonio, Yvonne Martinez and husband Edward of Newgulf; sons Joe Mireles, Jr. and wife Maria of Clute, Michael Mireles of Clute and Manuel Mireles and wife Toni of West Columbia; grandchildren Monica, Bianca, Sulema, Michael Kristopher, JoAna, Kristina, Michael Rene, Chuck, Samatha, Ashley, Mark, Maci, William and Michael Aaron; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The rosary will be Sunday, August 9 at 4:00pm at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00am Monday, August 10, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Gernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers are Michael Deleon, Kristopher Doria, Chuck Seals, Mark Mendez, William Reeder and Michael Reeder. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
