Benita Garcia Tobar, 72, of Markham went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Benita was born on January 4, 1943 in Mercedes, Texas to the late Louis and Concepcion Anciso Garcia.

Benita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook for her family and have them together.

Benita is preceded in death by her parents; husband Matias L. Tovar; brother Jose Luis Garcia; son Jacinto Tobar and grandson Alfred Longoria, Jr. She is survived by her children, Richard Tovar & wife Mary, Matias Tovar & wife Debra, Dianna Tobar Longoria, Pricilla Mangum & husband Kevin Shelton; 6 brothers and sisters; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

The family will receive visitors Monday, November 16, 2015 from 2:00-8:00pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm . Funeral services are 10:00am Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Midfield Cemetery.
