Barbarita Acosta Perez, 96, of Bay City passed away March 23, 2011. She was born December 4, 1914 in Bay City, TX to the late Antonio and Abrahana Santana Acosta. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Her husband Tomas "Chano" Perez and a grandson Manuel Perez both preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters Andrea Gutierrez of Houston and Patricia P. Littleton of Bay City; son Manuel Perez & wife Elva of La Marque; grandchildren Yvette & husband Manuel Jaso, Graland, Shirley & Joseph Gutierrez, Gabriel & wife Sandy Perez, Abram Perez, Nathan & wife Miriam Perez, Robert Littleton IV & wife Tyra, and Elijah Littleton & wife Shamlethia; great grandchildren Mario and Valerie Moreno, Ronnie and Christopher Serna, Issiah Gutierrez, Kiela Rene, Chloe Karina & Lexie Perez, Brenishia, Tehya, Joshua, Robert, V & Solomon Littleton and great-great grandchildren Erica Elaine, Lisa Evette, Miranda Evonne & Genevie Elise Gutierrez.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Mass will be 1:30 PM Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
