Obituary

Barbara Evelyn Middleton, 85, was born on March 14, 1932 to John and Ina Alexander in Bay City, Texas, and passed away on April 6, 2017. She married the love of her life T.J. Middleton on 8/20/1949 and they shared 60 wonderful years together before his passing on December 26, 2009. Barbara was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church where she sang in both the Celebration and Jubilares choirs. She was also very active with Memory Makers Quilt Guild, Bonnie Babes Doll Club, Home Extension and Jetsetters.

Barbara is survived by sons Rex Middleton & wife Cecelia, Linn Middleton & wife Terri and daughter Cheryl Lowery; Grandchildren Heather Middleton, Sean Middleton, Heath Middleton, Angie Hunter & husband Scott, Adam Zillweger & wife Allie and Iris Leos & husband Vince; 11 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, an abundance of cherished family and friends and her beloved cat Kiki.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers are Heath Middleton, Adam Zillweger, Ryan Leos, Vince Leos, Sean Middleton and Scott Hunter.

Memorial donations can be made to the animal rescue or shelter of your choice.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at St. Lukes Cardiac Center, the flight crew of PHI Air Medical and Matagorda Regional Medical Center ER staff and Paramedics.
