Barbara Ann Harrison McCarty, 66, passed away on August 14, 2016 at 12:33 AM in Round Rock, TX. Barbara was born to Frank Thomas, Jr. and Carmel Sliva Harrison on March 17, 1950. She married Pat McCarty on May 19, 1973. Barbara fought a valiant fight against Alzheimer's for the last 14 years and peacefully passed with her three children by her side. She enjoyed watching her children play sports, bowling and outdoor activities of all kinds. One of her favorite memories was when she hunted alligators with her father. She will be remembered for her heart of gold, quick wit, strength, and the love she had for her family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Frank Thomas Harrison, Jr. Barbara is survived by her husband: Pat McCarty, and three children and spouses: Kathren McCarty and Julie Wiernik, Patrick and Bridget McCarty, and Kyle and Lesley Jordan, brothers and sisters: Tommy, Mary, Hurschel, Melissa and George, mother: Carmel Sliva Harrison and mother-in-law: Elaine McCarty, and nine grandchildren: Ashton, Brayden, Gabrielle, Jacob, Nathan, Robert, Breann, Colton and Daelyn.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 6:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Cook-Walden Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The memorial service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Cook-Walden Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Wright officiating.

An additional memorial service will be held in 10:00 am Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Greg Korenek officating.

Donations may be made to Holy Cross Catholic School Foundation or The Alzheimer's Association.
