Arnoldo Barrera, 80, of Bay City passed away May 27, 2016. He was born February 14, 1936 in San Juan, Texas to the late Raul Barrera and Ferminia Pena Barrera.

He was preceded in death by a son Arnold Barrera, Jr. and a brother Jose Barrera. Survivors include his wife Emma Lemon-Salas Barrera; daughters Alma Frazier & husband Terry of New Waverly and Irene Belvin & husband David of Reed Point, MT; sons Jose Barrera & wife Cathy of Brazoria, Steve Barrera & wife Belinda of Brazoria and Bobby Barrera of Bay City; sisters Elena Dominguez of Blessing, Mary Lou Salazar of Wharton and Romula Flores of Bay City; brothers Armando Barrera and Jesse Barrera both of Bay City and Baldemar Barrera of El Campo; grandchildren Philip "Tony" Barrera & wife Cara, Breanna Barrera, Christopher Rice, Gabrielle Barrera, Stephan Barrera, Stone Belvin and Sierra Belvin and great grandchildren Kaden and Ashton Barrera.

The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 1:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jesse Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Stephan Barrera, Stone Belvin, Jessie Barrera, Armando Barrera, Jr., Bobby Barrera, Steve Barrera, Joe Barrera and Jose Barrera. Honorary pallbearer is Philip "Tony" Barrera.
