Arl Hunt, 93, of Palacios, Texas went to be with the Lord July 3, 2019. He was born August 27, 1925 to John N. and Mae Hebel Hunt. Arl was a devout Christian, proud veteran, and a humble and loving man. He loved his family with all his heart.

Arl proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theater 1943-1946. Arl & Eva owned and operated Hunt's Food Market in Palacios from 1947-1987.

Arl is preceded in death by his parents; wife Eva Mae Hunt; brothers Harold Hunt, IC "Jug" Hunt and Vernon Hunt, and daughter-in-law Sherry Hunt. He is survived by daughters Yvonne Conrad and husband Roger, and Cynthia Fletcher and husband Scott; sons Arl Garron Hunt and John Ruie Hunt. Grandchildren, Stacie Murry, husband Paul & Jason Conrad, wife Liz; Joshua Hunt, wife Nicole & Jonathan Hunt; Cora Juarez, husband Lee & Hannah Duke, husband Chris; and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives 4:00PM-6:00PM Sunday, July 7 at Palacios Funeral Home. Services are 2:00PM Monday, July 8, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church in Palacios with Rev. Louis Rush officiating. Interment will follow at Midfield Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Conrad, Paul Murry, Kim Hunt, Paul Hunt, Eugene Woodson, Gage Murry, Cameron Conrad and Carter Conrad.
