Annie Loraine Smith, age 94, met her Lord and Savior on May 5, 2019. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and a friend to all she met. She loved to visit and pray for people. In her earlier years, she was active with the Harmony Club and always active in her Church. She spent many hours praying and singing at the nursing home in Palacios.

Loraine was greeted by her parents Roy D. and Annie Chamblee; her children's father Alvin Eikenberg; her husband Millard Hall Smith; her sisters Ethel Kunefke, Margaret Cleveland, Faye Bates, Evelyn Taylor, Frances Milam, Mary Alice, Wanda and Joyce Chamblee, and her brothers Fred and Roy D. (Dan) Chamblee. She is survived by her daughter Donna Eikenberg; son Charles Eikenberg (Eileen); three grandchildren, Kim Lewis (Brian); Randy Eikenberg (Heather) and Rodney Eikenberg (Emily); eight great grandchildren, and sister Shirley Griffith (Irvin).

Pallbearers are Randy Eikenberg, Rodney Eikenberg, Brian Lewis, Dwayne Griffith, David Smith and Bobby Kunefke.

Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Bates, Jr. and Mark Bates.
