Annie Mary Posey Sparks, 96, of Markham passed away July 20, 2008 in Bay City. She was born March 3, 1912 in Union Valley, TX to the late Isaac Benton & Lora Edith Walker Posey. Mrs. Sparks was a resident of Clemville Texas for 60 years, before moving to Markham 20 years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Markham, and worked for Markham Elementary School for many years.

She is survivors by her 2 sons Robert N. & wife Jane Sparks of Buckeye, TX & Kevin Sparks of Markham, TX ; sister Muriel Savage of Markham, TX and grandson Randy B. Sparks of Buckeye, TX. Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Sparks.

The family will receive visitors Thursday night from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be: Nolan Savage, Nathan Savage, David Savage Jr., Neal Mallard, Stacey Horton, and Daron Dabelgott. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Savage, David Savage, Paul Savage, Mark Savage, Michael Posey, Alfred Frank Posey, Bobby Allen Posey, Tommy Wernly and Tim Wernly.
