Annie M. (Ann) Mardis , 92, of Bay City passed away February 26th at the Matagorda House. She was born July 26, 1919 in Preston, Mississippi to Frances & Virgil Teer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother & her husband of 61 years, C. O. Mardis whom she has missed so much.

She is survived by her 3 children, Ruby Collier & her husband Bill of Lake Jackson, her son Gerald & his wife Bobbie of Bay City and Phyllis Marks of Parker, Colorado; grandchildren, Anita Rickey (Steve), Renee Mardis, Kim Gary (Jim), Mike Mardis (Judy), Tracy Steakley (Roger), Kelley Collier (Brian), Shannon Marks, Kay Beth Marks; and 17 great-grandchildren. Ann had many friends, with Flo Dreher & Martha Jane Wheat being very precious to her.

Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church & active in the Fellowship Sunday School Class for many years.

She loved to work in her yard, read, & travel. She was a lifetime member of the Bay City Book Review Club.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
