Annie Lee Hale Jones, 96, of Bay City passed away May 15, 2018. She was born October 19, 1921 in Waller, Texas to the late David William Cole and Lillian Loftin Cole.

She enjoyed parties, dancing and spending time with friends and family. Several of her hobbies were gardening and cooking which she was known for her chicken and dumplings, homemade vegetable soup and dewberry cobbler. You could tell she loved being a homemaker. Then after her 1 ^st husband Rodney passed away, she began to work outside the home for Mr. Batton until it became the Smart Shop. She retired after working over 20 years and the customers just loved her as much as she loved them. She eloped one Christmas Eve and surprised us on her 2 ^nd marriage as Mr. and Mrs. Jones which they spent years traveling and exploring different parts of the world. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved her because she always made time for them and had them laughing hysterically at every visit.

Annie is preceded in death by first husband Rodney E. Hale and second husband Richard C. Jones and a grandson Rodney Hale Svetlik. Also by her parents and sisters Elizabeth Burkhart Hite, Dorothy Cole Dietrich, Lillian Cole Milberger and brothers William, Jenoye, Jack, John, Waddie and David William Cole, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Marsha Ann De La Riva & husband John of Austin, Texas and Pamela Svetlik & husband James of Bay City; brother Rosser Moody Cole of Bay City; grandchildren James John Svetlik III and wife Edie, Grant Cole Svetlik and Anna Leigh De La Rosa and great grandchildren Hannah Taylor De La Rosa, Lora Nicole Svetlik and Grayson James Svetlik, Brother in law; Hadden M. Dietrich, nephews Hadden Jr., Kelly Cole, Roland, Gerald, Eugene, Randy, Lee, Raymond, Roy and Allen Cole, Wayne, Arthur and Bryan Milberger; nieces Pat Davis, Carolyn Earnest, Mary Ellen Milberger, Dianne Rooth, Terri Striebeck and Judy Metcalf and many great nephews and nieces.

The family expresses their gratitude to all the nurses and staff of Bay Villa Nursing Home, A-Med Healthcare Group-Hospice, Dora Flores and Dolores Martinez for the countless hours of driving and personal care they provided for mom. It took a team and I was so blessed to have that until her passing.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Friday, May 18, 2018 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. L.C. Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jamie Svetlik, Richard Rooth, Kelly Cole, Randy Cole, Arthur Milberger and Bryan Milberger. Honorary pallbearers are James John Svetlik Jr., Hadden M. Dietrich, Sr. and Rosser Moody Cole.
