Anna Ruth Whitman of Bay City passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her mother Annie, her son Richard, her husband Roger and her sister Jackie.

She is survived by her seven children Roz Warsik of AL, Becky Cortez of CA, Jackie Lane of FL, Jeanette Lee of CT, Tom Whitman of TX, Elizabeth Angulo of FL and James Whitman of Bay City, TX. From those seven children, she was given 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Ruth was devoted to and loved her family. She also loved her community and volunteered at the nursing home. She was an active member of Holy Cross Parish and a member of the Legion of Mary.

Her son James and his wife Angie were with her as she drew her last breaths before being called home by her Father in Heaven. He surely welcomed her as a good and faithful servant.

Ruth will be deeply missed, but all who knew her will take comfort in having known her and trust that she now lives in eternal peace.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-8:00pm Thursday, June 28, with the Rosary being recited at 6:30, at the funeral home. Services are 10:00am Friday, June 29, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
