Anita "Amá" Oros ,93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday March 9, 2017. She was born July 26,1923 in San Benito, Texas to the late Modesto and Bartola Oros.

Anita was a loving and God fearing woman. She never had children of her own, but was truly blessed to have played a big part in the life of two very special nieces, Petra Cruz and Gracie Martinez. Anita also had a huge impact on Gracie's children, Leticia Arriaga, Dora Davalos, Veronica Arriaga and Arnold "Cookie" Arriaga. She played the mother role to all her nieces and nephews. Anita was the type of person who would give you her last if she had to. She had a passion for cooking, dancing and arts & crafts.

Anita is survived by her brother Juan Oros, Sr. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Sisters, Felicitas Oros, Petra Ortiz and Maria Oros; Brothers, Jessie Oros, Candelario Oros, Santiago Oros and Sebastian Oros.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday, March 12, 2017 followed by a rosary at 6:00pm at Taylor Bros. Funeral home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Monday, March 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnold "Cookie" Arriaga, Juan Oros Jr., Martin Oros, Robert Rivera Jr., Adam Oros and Jessie Oros. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Oros, Tim Davalos lll, Ezekiel "Zeke" Garza Jr., Jonathan Arriaga and Adrian Zepeda Jr.
