Angelita Galvan, 92, of Blessing passed away May 18, 2011. She was born June 7, 1918 in Victoria, TX to the late Martin Vasquez and Francisca Garza Vasquez.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ramon Galvan; sons Francisco & Johnny Galvan; sister Ramona Rodriguez and brothers David Vasquez, Sr. & Samuel Vasquez. Survivors include daughters Rita Castro of Florida, Maria Castillo of California, Regina Sanchez & husband Vince of Bakersfield, CA & Helaria Longoria of Houston; sons Candelario Galvan & wife Irma of Blessing, Ramon Galvan, Jr. & wife Linda of Lamont, CA, Macky Galvan & wife Enriqueta of Houston & Jimmy Galvan of Blessing; sisters Ofelia Rodriguez, Rosario Vasquez, Felipa Calderon & Rita Guerra; brother Lupe Vasquez; 37 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing with Rev. Peter Yeboah-Amanfo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing. Pallbearers will be Jose Maria Longoria, Elesio Longoria, Fernando Carrillo, Joe Luis Galvan, Frank Galvan and David Galvan.
