Alvin C. Keyes, 80, of Bay City, TX died December 24, 2005 at Bay Villa Nursing Center in Bay City. He was born July 8, 1925 in Davidson, OK to the late Ernest Rayborn and Bessie Elvira Etter Keyes. He was a resident of Bay City since 1973 and a member of the Golden Ave. Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa Keyes; daughter Stacy Lynn Keyes; sister Florence Short; brothers Carl, Robert Earl & Rayford Douglas Keyes; & grandchildren Shawn Robert Keyes & Christopher Daniel Kluth. Survivors include daughters Blenda Kay Kluth of Harlingen & Rowena Nanette & David Outlaw of Boling; sons Lynne Earl & Jenna Johnson of Pearland, Alvin C. & Millance Keyes, Jr of Anahuac & David Allen & Nimfa Keyes of McQueeney, TX; step-sons: James Hanzik of Bay City, Ronald Haznzik of Adkins, SC, Gerald Hanzik of Richwood, TX, and Gail T. Hanzik of Wadsworth. sisters Claudine Boudoin of Magnolia, Alene Bookout of LaPorte, Pat Griffet of Montgomery, & Jackie Goode of Grapevine; brother Eddie Lynn Kayes of California; fourteen grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, & a host of step-great grandchildren.
Funeral service 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers include David Keyes, Jr., Daniel Keyes, Pedro Hernandez, & Tommy & Timothy Burleson.
