Obituary
Alva "Al" Springer, 83, of Bay City passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010. He was born June 8, 1926 in Velasco, Texas to the late Valley Guest Springer & Bobby Lee Springer. Al was a Lineman for Southwestern Bell, served his country as a member of the United States Navy, and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Lynda Springer, Judy Miller, and Gwen Springer; 3 grandchildren: Kirk Niemann, Lindsay Niemann, and Evan Jones; great grandchild: Gage Niemann; and brother: Cecil Springer.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Church of God of Prophecy of Bay City, 2721 16th St., with Rev. Tommy Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
