Alma Jo Wilson, 76, of Palacios, passed away, Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Palacios Community Medical Center. She was born November 3, 1929 in Van Alstyne, TX to Clyde Tippett and Frances Ella Casey Tippett. She was a long time resident of Palacios and Victoria, a member of the Nazarene Church and was the owner of Wilson's Grocery Store in Palacios.

She is survived by her daughters: Pam Seaman & husband Garry Seaman, Sr. of Palacios and Alma Ruth Dody & husband Ray of Austin; by her sister: Mozel Long of Goldthwaite; her brother: Clyde B. Tippett of Odessa; by 3 grandchildren: Michelle Atkinson, James Seaman, & Garry Seaman, Jr.; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: J. R. "Jim" Wilson; a son: James R. Wilson, Jr.; and her parents: Clyde & Frances Ella Tippett.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
