Alma Belle Luco Luna, 99, of Bay City was born in Wharton, TX to Louis and Alma Walker Luco on Sept. 9, 1911. She passed away September 24, 2010. She grew up in Wharton and graduated from High School there in 1930. She married W. Vernon Luna in 1936. She was a homemaker and ran a Day Care out of her home retiring in 1974. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bay City were she belonged to the Lydia Group Fellowship Group. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Her parents, husband, and 2 brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Ada Mauldin; one sister Helen Denson; two grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Bay City with Rev. Jeff Gantz officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bay City.
