Obituary

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on June 8, 1919 in Marathon, Texas she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, W.O. (Pappy) Webb. Alline had recently moved to Baton Rouge after having been a long-time resident of Bay City. She is survived by one son, Willis (Bill) Webb and his wife, Lynda, of Midland, Texas, and one daughter, Barbara Ann (Bobbi) Marino and her husband Frank, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Andrew Barrett Webb, Anne Elizabeth (Beth) Resweber and her husband, Bret, and Frank Joseph (Chip) Marino and his wife, Michelle. Two great-grandsons, Chase Logan Marino and Brooks Berry Resweber live on to honor her memory.

Alline lived her life to its fullest and served her church and community well. She was a long-time member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Auxiliary 2438, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), and other volunteer programs. She volunteered her time and energy regularly at nursing homes in Bay City. However, it was the VFW Auxiliary that kept her the busiest and happiest. Her recent position was that of Chaplain, which she had held for many years. At 91 years of age, she remained vibrant and active showing that age need never slow one down. Her life was filled with many friends and activities.
