Alfredo James "A.J." Alvarez of Palacios, went to be with his Lord Friday, June 19, 2015. A.J. was born on December 21, 2012 in Bay City, TX to Leocadia and Jose Alfredo Alvarez.

A.J. loved turtles, the movie Turtle Tales and his brothers and his step-sister. He was a loving child, always asking for hugs and always saying "I love you" to his family members.

A.J. is survived by his parents Jose Alvarez and Leocadia "Cadi" Flores; step-father David Sandoval, Jr.; brothers Adrian Alvarez, Mark Flores and Jordan Martinez; step-sister Christen Sandoval; step-brother David Sandoval III; maternal grandparents Fred Pena III and Margaret Pena; step-grandmother Sylvia Sandoval; paternal grandparents Maria and Pascual Alvarez; aunt Dottie Pena; numerous cousins and other loving relatives.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00-8:00pm with a 6:30pm Rosary, Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Palacios Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00an Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church with Fr. Bryan Heyer celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing, TX.
