Alfred (Fred) Lee Kampfhenkel, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21st at the age of 64. Fred was born in Kingsville, Texas and grew up in Bishop, Texas. He meet his wife Tina in Houston, Texas in 1984 and they married on August 1st, 1987. They moved to Katy in 1991 where they had their only child Katie in June 2000. Fred loved anything sports and back in the day he would spend many weekends hunting on their family ranch in Cotulla,Texas. His mounted deer horns and heads were some of his prized possessions. When he wasn't watching sports, he was spending time on projects around the house, checking in on his daughter, and writing jokes, quotes, and everything in between.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents Harvey Lee Kampfhenkel, Mary Louise Kampfhenkel and brother Ernie Tucker. He is survived by his wife Tina Kampfhenkel (White), daughter Katie Kampfhenkel, sisters; Sandra Meador, Sharon Ferm and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He fought a long fight these past couple of years and he is now at peace and will be watching over us as we go about our lives. He was extremely proud of his daughter and constantly supporting her dreams (in theatre) as she moved across the country to Duluth, Minnesota. She attended UMD and graduated 2022 with a BFA in Stage Management. He will be sorely missed by all.
He was buried on Monday, October 24th at Hawley Cemetery in a private graveside service.
