Alberto R. Rodriguez, Sr., 72, of Bay City passed away August 28, 2011. He was born July 30, 1939 in Brownsville, TX to the late Ancencion & Celia Ramirez Rodriguez.

His wife Gloria Ruiz Rodriguez & sister Delia Pesina preceded him in death. Survivors include daughter Griselda Reyes & husband Frankie of Alvin; sons Alberto Rodriguez, Jr. & wife Julie Ann of Lake Jackson & Roberto Rodriguez & wife Reyna of Freeport; sisters Rebecca & Gaspar Garcia, Tina Martinez, Rosa Guarjardo, Oralia & Ramiro Garza, Amelia & Tony Saucello, Elena & Juan Bermudez, Esther & Richard Jiminez, Aurora & Juan Rojas & Esmeralda & Raymond Garcia; brothers Raul & Graciela Rodriguez, Eliseo & Angela Rodriguez, Ramon & Juanita Rodriguez & Ruben & Delia Rodriguez; grandchildren Christina Reyes, Krystal Bertrand, Albert Rodriguez III, Ashley Hong, Erasmo Paul Reyes, Ciara Rodriguez, Selena Rodriguez, Sarah Lynn Reyes, Erika Gomez, Elida Rodriguez, Evily Rodriguez & Nicolas Gomez and great grandchildren Bianca, Micah, D'Angelo, Rheya, Gamaliel, Jr., Camryn, Adrian, Kya & Allissa.

A rosary was recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Alberto Rodriguez, Jr., Roberto Rodriguez, Billie Pena, Roland Ruiz, Alejandro Estrada & Ramon Rodriguez.
