Albert "Buddy" A. Dodd, Jr. died Friday, July 23, 2010 at his home in Matagorda, Texas. He was born January 14, 1934 to Albert A. Dodd Sr. and Ellen Smith Dodd. Buddy was very active and involved in the community, was well loved by all and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Bernice "Bunny" Kain Dodd), sister Dorothy Smith, son Ronald Dale Dodd. Survivors include brother John Dodd, sister Clydine Dodd Thomas; his daughters, Brenda Dodd Stanley, Karen Williams Brannen, & son John C. Williams, Jr. Grandsons, Scott Andrew Laird, Jake Alan Vaughan, & Derrick Jordan Vaughan.
Services will be held August 7, 2010 at 10 am at First United Methodist Church, Matagorda, Texas with Pastor Pauline Harvey Storey officiating. Internment will be at the Matagorda Cemetery.
