Agnes Marie Seviek Nemec, 86, of Midfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2008. She was born December 2, 1921 in Smithfield, TX to Stephanie Psencik and Joseph Seviek.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Agnes was a long-time faithful member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church of Blessing and belonged to the St. Peter's Altar Society for many years, until her death. She was chosen Homemaker of the Year by the Soil and Water Conservation in 1995 and was a member of KJZT Society #72 in El Campo, TX.

Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Nemec; son, Vincent Nemec and wife Cynthia of Bay City; daughter, Christine Naiser and husband Tony of Midfield; daughter, Cecilia Gutowski and husband Mark of Alvin; daughter-in-law, Adrienne Johnson of Clear Lake; and seven grandchildren, Jayson and Ryan Naiser, Stephanie and Thomas Nemec, Nathan Gutowski, and John and Wesley Nemec. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Henry Seviek and he son, Patrick Nemec.

Visitation will be held from 6 – 7 PM Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing. The Rosary will follow at 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing with Rev. Samuel Appiasi officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the St. Peter's Catholic Church Building Fund.
