Adela N. Oros 92, of Bay City, TX, passed away June 12, 2022. She was born April 27, 1930 in San Benito, TX to the late Juan Nava and Refugia Castillo Nava.
She loved to sing and praise the Lord, read scriptures from her Bible and pray. She always loved to cook for her family and anyone that visited her. She was known for her "beans and chili" on a Sunday morning breakfast.
Adela was preceded in death by her parents; husband Juan Oros, Sr.; sister Oralia Mendoza, and brothers Noe Nava, Martin Nava, Erasmo Nava and Candelario Rodriguez.
She is survived by daughters Esther Cantu, Inez Ochoa (Raymond), Viola Rivera (Robert), Olga Mata (Ernesto, Sr.), Amelia Garza, Belia Avila (John), Minerva Gutierrez, Gracie Martinez (Santiago) and JoAnn Garza (Mark Anthony); sons Juan Oros, Jr., Joe Oros, Martin Oros (Patricia) and Jesse Oros (Shirlene); sisters Dolores Alvarez, Josephina Torres and Elena Arroyo; brother Humberto C. Nava; 20 granddaughters, 20 grandsons; 73 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
The Rosary will be 9:30 am Monday, June 20, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am With Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will be at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Seth Garza, George Martinez, Abraham Avila, Robert Lee Gutierrez, Raymond Ochoa, Michael Rivera, Jesse Oros, Jr. and Ernesto Mata, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert "Bobbie" Rivera, Jr., Ronnie Rivera, Noah Mata, Zeke Garza, Gabriel Avila, Daniel Avila, Roy Gutierrez, Jr., John Matthew Oros, Arnulfo "Cookie" Arriaga, Joey Oros, Nick Patton, Sean Garza, Benjamin Paul Juan Oros and Cayman Oros.
