Albina Grasmuck

Albina Grasmuck, 94, of Bay City, TX passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at Matagorda House Nursing Home. She was born August 12, 1918 in Ganado, TX to the late Henry Sablatura and Mary Pivonka Sablatura.

She married Charles Grasmuck November 14, 1939 in Corpus Christi, TX where they lived until 1965 at which time they moved to Fremont, CA. After Charles passed away she moved to Vallecito, CA where she resided for 13 years. She had been a resident of Bay City, TX for the past 6 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Altar Society, KJZT and AARP.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grasmuck, son, C. J. & his wife Mary Ada Grasmuch and son Bruce Grasmuck. She was the last survivor of 13 children.

She is survived by daughters Jerilyn Black & husband Kenneth of Bay City and Marilyn Britto & husband John of Truckee, CA; sons Randy Grasmuck & wife Karen of Oakdale, CA and Ben Grasmuck & wife Kari of Pacific Grove, CA; daughter-in-law Christa Grasmuck of Bay City; 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 5:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10J0 Am Monday, August 20, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA. Memorials may be made to Houston Hospice; 1102 N. Mechanic; El Campo, TX 77437 or the charity of your choice.
