Helen Rose Crockett

Helen Rose Crockett, 99, of Bay City, Texas, passed away on May 3, 2012 in Bay City. She was born on September 27, 1912 in Skedee, Oklahoma to the late Leroy and Veda Rose Vance. She owned BrowseaBit and Jewels of Fashion in Deer Park. She and her husband owned Crocketts Fish House in Sargent.

Her husband, Preston Robert Crockett and a granddaughter, Jana LeAnne Crockett, preceded her in death. Helen is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Knox of Possum Kingdom, sons Robert Crockett and wife Joyce of Angleton, David Crockett and wife Gloria of Bay City, grandchildren Melonie K and husband Brian of Mississippi, Mike Meachum and wife Lisa of Austin, Cleve Meachum of Houston, Carole Sorenson and husband Ron of Lubbock, John Crockett and wife Cindy of Angleton, Linda Crockett of Angleton, and 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, May 6 from 2 PM until 4 PM at Taylor Bros. Her funeral service will be held on Monday May 7, at 10:00 AM at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Chaplain Don Storey officiating. Interment will follow at the Matagorda Cemetery.
